Projects, Projects, Projects!

On February 28th, Dad installed the shower bench in Aunt Jill and Uncle Jeff's master bath. He worked most of the day to get the measurements just right and to make sure that it would have a little slope so that the water would wash off. And after he tiled the bench, it looked awesome!

Dad, cutting the tile.

Working on the bench.

Finished! All it needs is tile...

After Dad finished the bench and everything in the shower was complete, Dad started on the tile. Aunt Jill and Uncle Jeff picked out the tile they wanted about a week before....we went to Costco one day and the exact tile that they wanted was on sale for $19.99 with 5 sheets of tile in each box!! So they bought every last one of those boxes (there were only about 15 left...I guess other people loved it too!).

Dad started on the tub too...it looks great!

Letting some of the tile dry.

His finished bench and the cut-outs he made for shampoo/soap.

The bathroom demolition begins...taking out the vanity and sinks. They didn't know what they were getting into...it is April now and we are still working on projects! Aunt Jill called a granite warehouse to get an estimate and when they were through, she ended up ordering the granite she liked. A week later when it was supposed to arrive, they called and asked if she wanted to order it! She thought they were calling to tell her that they were going to deliver that day. So she canceled the order and ended up going with Allen & Roth individual vanity's from Lowe's. They look really nice!

Demoing the sinks.

The new Allen and Roth Vanities (and shelf space for towels in the middle)!

Playing in the Sun!

Around February 20th, winter slowly started to fade away and it was finally getting sunny. The little girls were so excited that the sun came out, they all grabbed their sunglasses (even Preston) and sat outside on the porch to eat lunch and soak up some sun. We even bought Popsicles that week to celebrate! :)

Fiona, Dakota, Sierra and Preston hanging out in the sun.

Dakota in mid-chew.

We went to Costco and the kids sat on the display swing.

Tilly riding in a Dunkin' Donuts box...Yummy!

Mom and Aunt Jill after their big shopping spree at Costco (they have to get enough --everything-- for 11 people!).

Tilly on the baby swing...CHEESE!

Preston and Fiona making a mud volcano outside on the play set.

Dakota climbing up the ladder.

Miller, watching all the kids play in the sun.

Dad and Tilly working outside! She loves to be Dad's helper. :)

2012 Mid-South Sports, Boat & RV Show

On February 19th, we went to an RV and Boat Show at the Agricenter in Memphis. They displayed a bunch of RV's at one half of the Agricenter and then the other half was for displaying boats. They let you walk into the RV's/trailers and take a look inside (we still like the Sundancer better...the new stuff is too "fancy"). :) When we walked over to the the boat section, the boys climbed on different motor boats and "drove" them. There were so many people there, we were thankful we didn't lose anyone...a lady announced on the intercom that a 4 year old girl was missing (they eventually found her). :/

Wine glasses in an RV??

Dakota & Fiona trying out the chairs.

Dining room chairs with tags...

Full size living room!

This kitchen could be in a real house (fake granite counter tops)!

With the pop-outs, it look huge!

The trailers:

The bathrooms inside the trailers are huge!

Dad, trying out the sofa.

Aunt Jill, taking a look around.

I don't think I have seen anything cheesier than this....a squirrel that rides on water skis, attached to a remote control speed boat. Everybody was cracking up once "Twiggy" started moving (he even had his own life jacket that was about two inches long). I guess Twiggy "told his Mom" to tell all the kids to "be safe around water"!  I almost died from how corney it was...

Sierra, Uncle Jeff, Dakota and me....This is on my wish list: an UTV motor vehicle...I could drive it all day!!

The Agricenter...we had so much fun!

Valentine's Day!

On Valentine's Day, we bought a Red Velvet cake from Costco. It was delicious, because it was mostly frosting! Tilly loved it too, because she got to get messy and eat it at the same time. We all loved it! Costco did it once again...:)

The cake!

All the kids eating breakfast!

Dad, Bennett, Uncle Jeff and me.

We went to Shelby Farms again...it is the kids favorite park!!

Tilly and I going down the metal slide. :) Tilly loved it!

Dakota & Fiona on the ropes.

Preston on the ropes.

Dakota and Fiona sitting on the bars.

We heard that the "Oscar Meyer Wienermobile" was going to be at Kroger on February 17th. They handed out free wiener whistles...

Tim Hawkins Comedy Show!!

On February 11th, we got to see Tim Hawkins live at Aunt Jill and Uncle Jeff's church!!!! Tim Hawkins is our FAVORITE comedian...we heard about him from some friends a few years ago. When you watch him on the computer, your stomach hurts from laughing so hard, but when you see him live, he is 100x funnier and then your whole body starts aching!! But the best part of all was after the show when he walked into the lobby. Nobody recognized him because he was in his sweatshirt and ball cap...but we did, so we walked (ran) over and then Aunt Jill shoved me next to him and Mom took a picture!!! Bob Smiley was also touring with Tim, so I got a picture with him too!! It was so fun! :)

The Sanctuary at Hope Presbyterian in Memphis.....Tim Hawkins called it the "Death Star"! :)

Tim Hawkins and me (notice his funny expression)!

Bob Smiley and me!

Tim and Bob signing autographs (I got both of their autographs!). After each autograph Tim signed, he would say to the person in a teen girl voice, "Hey, best friends forever!". It was SO funny!!
