Becky's Birthday Party

On August 26th, we got invited over to Dan & Becky's house for Becky's birthday dinner. We were going to float the river, but it was too cold that day, so we didn't. But we did take a hike up Cedar Creek and then had steak, salad, zucchini and potatoes for dinner.  Becky requested apple pies, so we made two and took them over. Caramel apple pies are the best!

Our hike up Cedar Creek.

The finished rock wall!

The boys jumped in the river mid-afternoon because they went shooting and got a little over heated. :)

Dad dove in...

Ahhhh...

Aunt Mauray joined us for dinner.

Flowers. :)

An eagle flew into a tree right across the river.

Preston parked himself right next to the Doritos!

Flying kites in the field.

The little kids had a "slumber party" in my room one night and took everything off of both beds...ugh.

The Switchfoot Concert!!!

On August 18th, I went with our Church Youth Group to the Downpour Festival, where they were featuring Switchfoot this year!! After four hours in the car with seven girls and Captain Ron, while chatting, laughing and writing a story about a yellow bug and a hobbit (yes, that's how bored we were), we FINALLY arrived in Great Falls. We went to the Electric City Water Park first. Attractions:  body board surfing, chillin' on the lazy (but fast) river, water slides and a heated swimming pool. My favorite was the surfing and then floating into the lazy river. After the amazing water park, we jumped in our oven on wheels and drove to the concert. By the time we arrived at the Montana Expo Park we were like melted gummy bears on pavement! It was SO hot!! Tenth Avenue North was performing when we got there, so we got to see them also! I think the crowd (already huge) tripled though, once Switchfoot arrived. IT WAS SO FUN!!!! :)

Me, Emma B. and Nichole with our aviators. :)

The small crowd before Switchfoot arrived...

33Miles was playing also...

Esther, Libby and ReAnne.

SWITCHFOOT!!!!!!

Excited!!

 The stage was awesome!

Every rocker dude has to stand on drums...:)

These guys are brothers.

He walked through the crowd...except the only bad thing is, he made a circle around us!! :(

We slept in a Church basement in Great Falls. We were bored before bed, so Emma french braided our hair. :)

Visiting Rainbow Falls before our departure back to G-town. :)

Emma, me and Libby. :)

We bought gummy octopuses for our ride home. :)

ReAnne attempted to put her whole mouth around this OJ bottle and drink it, but failed at doing so. :)

From L to R: Nichole, Olivia, Taylor and ReAnne. Poor Captain Ron...the only male aboard the ship!

Boredom...

IT WAS SO FUN AND I CANNOT WAIT FOR NEXT YEAR!!!! :)
