Another Afternoon Hike

On June 9th, (sorry this is so late!!) we took a hike in the Park and went on the Beaver Ponds trail. It was very pretty because the wildflowers were in bloom and it was a beautiful day. We hiked unto we got to a waterfall and that was our turn around spot. But first we cooled off in the water. :)

Mammoth Terraces!

Arrowleaf!

Cooling off in the creek!

Hanging out by the water.

Tilly is always "hot"...

Summer thunderstorms bring in these really cool-looking clouds!

More flower pictures...

I took one of my rings and practiced with that. :)

Pizza Oven in the making!

Sorry this is sooooooo late!!! Been busy!!

Dad has been building our pizza oven since the fall of last year. It takes time and there are a lot of steps. In the first part of June, Dad poured the cement insulating layer with the little kids. They got it done and now it's time for the next layer!

Mixing!

Crab apple tree flowers!

Let it dry...

Dad and his pizza oven. :)

We went on another Sunday hike and this time it was up La Duke trailhead.

It was VERY rocky!

We headed back down before this storm caught us.

I have been making lots of cupcakes lately...here is one of them: Chocolate Cookie Dough Cupcakes!

May 30th, Aunt Jamie called and asked if we could pick her up at the Gardiner Airport the next day...she was flying into Gardiner International! :) A guy in Anchorage asked her if she could fly his "new" plane that he bought in LA back up to Anchorage for him. He would just pay her for expenses like hotels, food, gas etc. She was only here for two days, but it was fun while it lasted!

Posing by the Cessna 150 plane.
