Last Thursday, we did some landscaping in the yard with Dad. We put in lawn edging to keep the grass and dirt inside the yard. We had to dig a row to put in the lawn edging. It looks really nice now!

After we were done with the lawn edging, we got invited to a s'more cookout up at Aunt Mauray's garden. It was a perfect night to be outside roasting s'mores!
This is the birdhouse on top of her gate.
Tilly likes to watch us in her stroller.
Fiona loves marshmallows!!
Bennett's homemade squirt cheese, marshmallow and cracker sandwich......gross.

Bennett brought his book and book light.
I took a picture of a flower in the garden at night with the flash. It turned out really cool.

Park County Fair
Every August, Park County has a big 4-H fair in Livingston. It is so much fun! There are big bouncy houses, animals, food, auctions, demonstrations and a lot of other things.
Here are the chickens:
Free chickyback rides!
Cute little goats.
The Auction....these people are really generous to the 4-H kids. There was a kid who sold a picture of a horse's eye for $300!!!!

Big Pigs (normally these pigs sell at market price for 60 cents/lb. However, the 4-H kids get $5.00/lb.)!
The horse barn is my favorite spot at the fair!
A.J. got a sparkle pedicure!

The cow barn is the smelliest part of the fair.
Tido and Jax left after we walked around the fair. We were so thankful for Tido's help with our roof!

Tido and Jax's Visit
On Friday, July 29th, our friend Tido and his son Jax (age 10) came and stayed at our house for a week. Tido was the Best Man in my Mom and Dad's wedding. We did a lot of things with them...fishing, playing at the beach, swimming at Chico, walking downtown, going to garage sales, sleeping on the porch, jumping on the trampoline, having W.A.R. competitions, putting on a roof (Dad and Tido did it), painting the house, going on a raft trip, playing with Matilda (Jax LOVED her!), slaughtering a rooster, going to the county fair, etc. ;) We had a lot of fun!
Preston helping Dad set up the scaffolding to paint the house.
Our new paint color!
Dad and Tido picked up the metal roof from Bridger Steel in Belgrade (83 miles from our house).
Dad waving from the top of the roof (he does have a safety harness on, Grammie!). ;)

Fiona waited for us on the beach before we floated by on our raft trip.
Bennett, Preston, Tido, Jax and I got to take the Explore Yellowstone raft trip. We all had a great time!

Tido got really mad when Henry the rooster attacked him when he was trying to get eggs from the coop...time to give Henry the "neck treatment"!
Bye-bye Henry!
