Meditation Point Chapel

On our way back from Livingston, Tilly was crying, so we had to stop in Emigrant for my Mom to feed her.   Emigrant is a little town halfway between Livingston and Gardiner.  We stopped right by a gas station, where there is a little chapel, called Meditation Point. They don't have church services in it anymore, probably because there are only 6 chairs inside. Plus, it's freezing cold! ;) Bennett, Preston, Fiona and I went inside and played, while Mom fed Tilly.

There have been a lot of buffalo in our yard too. They like to dig with their heads to get to the grass. When it snows, their backs are covered with a white blanket!

I was even brave enough to stand outside our door,  when the buffalo was about 50 feet away!

They like to eat all the hay from the horses' corral too! The horses try to guard their territory by chasing them away, even when they are in the corral!

Everyday, (except Saturday and Sunday) we ALL go downstairs to do our home school. When we do History, I am the board writer and Dad is the reader. We all listen!

Part of our home school is Chemistry. Bennett and Dad like to see things that react! Preston likes to help too.......;)

A couple of our experiments were:  making crystals, creating rust and seeing baking soda and vinegar react!

Later that afternoon, we went to Chico Hot Springs pool with some of our friends. They came to our house for dinner afterward. We thought it was weird that we didn't hear Fiona, so we looked over and she was sleeping right by her soup!!!! She must have been worn out from all that swimming!

This is what Matilda does when we are doing homeschool:

P.E. at Y.N.P.

After lunch, we went to Mammoth to go skiing around the loop (1.4 miles).  It was a little harder than usual, because there was a blizzard and you couldn't really see. But we had a good time anyway, plus we went the opposite way we usually do around the loop.

Fiona snow-shoed today for the first time. She was so cute in her TINY snow-shoes! She was so proud of herself!

Preston also had to go to the bathroom while we were outside snacking. We caught him just in time, because he was going to go the the bathroom on the ski trail!! That would have been exciting.......I would of thought that it was lemonade that someone had spilled!

We had a really fun time though!

I spotted some buffalo across the river, being chased by wranglers yesterday! They were running right on the dirt road, where cars drive on!

We are having a lot of fun with Tilly. Everybody LOVES to hold her!!

Every time she fills her pants, we usually have to give her a bath in the bathroom sink! ;) This is her "spa time".....

The other day, we went skiing up at Jardine and Uncle Paul and his dog Pecas came with us. Pecas always tries to get in everybody's way, so when we had a downhill part, Pecas got right in the way of my Dad. He fell down on the icey ground and landed right on his behind. Ouch! He asked Fiona if she could give him some physical therapy, by standing/walking on his back!
