Dad and Dan's Birthday Bash

On Wednesday, we had a birthday bash for Dad and Dan. Aunt Mauray came over, too. At the beginning of November, Dan asked my Mom if she would make chicken curry for his birthday. We also made a Coca-Cola cake for dessert (with six sticks of butter!). It was so good!

Dan and Becky gave Dad a new pipe for his birthday!! He was sooo excited!  He went outside the next morning to try it out.

Aunt Mauray gave Fiona an American Girl book for her belated birthday. There were some kind of white circle stickers in the book, so they put them on their faces. :)

Fiona's Birthday Part 2

Today, Dan, Becky and Uncle Paul came over for a breakfast brunch. We had two kinds of egg casserole, caramel french toast, fruit salad, cranberry "spritzer" and coffee. It was so good!! Usually our tradition is having  caramel french toast on all of our birthdays. It is a big family favorite! Fiona slept in this morning, until about 9a.m., because she was so exhausted from her last birthday party! While she was opening all her presents, Tilly had already eaten half the wrapping paper....:)

A NEW BABY DOLL from Grammie and Poppie!!!!!

"Bible Library" DVD's from Grandma!

When we woke up this morning, there was already a ton of snow on the ground and then when we were eating breakfast, there was a huge whiteout blizzard!!!!

Bennett always wants the ribbons and bow ties and random things from all the birthday parties, so he can decorate himself. :)

I thought this picture looked cool. ;)

Brrrr!

The best part of the whole day (in my opinion).....BREAKFAST!! =)

Fiona's Birthday Part 1

Today, Fiona had 6 friends over for her 4th Birthday Party. She had a tea party, but when all the kids said that they wanted tea, none of them touched their cups! They just stuck with their Capri Suns. =) We also played a game: "Pin the crown on the princess"......note to self:  never play games at birthday parties (all they wanted to do is play dress-ups downstairs). One little girl got sad because she pinned the crown 5 feet away from the princess and when she took off her blindfold, she started to cry when she saw where her crown ended up.....

"Pin the crown on the princess"!

The theme is princess. Can you tell?? :)

We had "Princess in the Peas", which is really hot dogs in a blanket....my Mom renamed them.

Fiona, Megan, Natalie and Ellie (Alexa, Dillon and Josie are on the other side of the table).

Dillon is up in line for the "Pin the crown on the princess" game (Dillon and Alexa are twins!).

Bennett's New Glasses!

About a week ago, we went into Livingston so Bennett could pick out his glasses. He didn't want to get glasses, but once he saw the ones he liked, he changed his mind. :) We went and picked them up on Tuesday. He has been pointing out things faraway that he hasn't been able to see without his glasses!

It has started to get colder every day, so all the animals are coming down from the mountains. The antelope came to get a drink on the other side of the river. I bet that my tongue would turn into an ice cube before I took a gulp!

Our New RV!!

On Tuesday, my parents kept going to town to "visit some friends" and leaving me in charge of all the kids while they were gone. But turns out, they were in the process of buying an RV from Mr. and Mrs. Bent!! They brought it home on Wednesday and surprised us! It is a '79 Sundancer and it has a lot of room. It has a mini kitchen (stove, fridge/freezer, sink, microwave), bathroom (shower/tub/toilet/sink), a table, sitting room and LOTS of cupboard space. We are planning on taking it into the park and camping in it and maybe on a few road trips. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Bent!!!!

Mom said there was "something in the driveway".......

Oh my goodness!!!!!

Today, we had our first snow (of this fall). It has been snowing since we woke up. It is 33 degrees.

Halloween!

On Halloween, we got invited to Mr. and Mrs. Bent's house for a make-your-own-pizza dinner before we went trick-or-treating. It was really fun! We got to put on our own toppings (olives, peppers, cheese, pepperoni) and sauce. After dinner, we went trick-or-treating around town. I was an Old Lady, Bennett was a Top Gun Pilot, Preston was Batman, Fiona was a Poodle (her costume came with a dog tag that said "Fifi"!) and Matilda was a pumpkin (that didn't last long, because after the first house, she decided she hated it and tried to pull it off!).  We got TONS and TONS of candy. Last year, our candy supply lasted until April!!

Making pizzas!
