Happy Birthday Mom!

Today we celebrated Mom's 45th birthday! We had Dan & Becky, and Uncle Paul over for breakfast and we had quiche, cinnamon swirl coffee cake and fruit salad. Then My Mom went to lunch with some friends in Gardiner. Later on we had enchiladas, salad and I made a CHERRY PIE for dessert! If I don't say so myself, it was SO good!! :)

The blossoms outside of our downstairs door always bloom around her birthday.

This made the house smell delicious!

I used the leftover cherry juice and threw together some cherry syrup with sugar and water. We'll save that for later when we have pancakes. :)

Levi thought the decorations were fun to look at. ;)

I took the pie outside for some artsy pics...

We took about a zillion pics of the pie, because we thought it was so good!

Happy Mother's Day!

This year for Mother's Day I woke up and made Cinnamon Roll Pancakes for breakfast, which sounds amazing, I know, so go get the recipe! And they were amazing!! Just make your favorite pancake recipe batter and then mix together some brown sugar, cinnamon and butter and swirl it on top of the pancakes. They were a hit in our family, so go make 'em for yours!

I tried swirling a heart on Mom's, but it kinda faded. ;) I made some icing to drizzle on top, so you don't need to have syrup. They actually do taste like cinnamon rolls...

Dad got Mom some tiger tulips.

Happy Mother's Day! <3

My 15th Birthday Parties!

On my real birthday (the 28th) we went to Bozeman, and this time instead of going to Fuddruckers, we tried Old Chicago, which is like a pizza/pasta/salad restaurant. It was a fun change, but we probably won't go back there again. My Mom made quiche and blueberry sour cream coffee cake for breakfast and that gave us a great start for our day!

Y.U.M.

Usually we always have caramel french toast for breakfast, but I changed it up this year.

Old Chicago...there was barely anyone there on a Monday night!

I ordered cheesy chicken pasta...

When we got back home, everyone was pretty worn out from the long drive with Levi not wanting to be in his seat, so we made a lot of stops. But, we still had room for the Strawberry Layer Cake my Mom made with Strawberry Cream Cheese frosting!

We had a really fun belated birthday party on May 2nd with my friends and their families. My Dad fired up his new pizza oven and we made over 20 pizzas for everyone who came! Each person got their own pizza and could decorate it with whatever they wanted (pepperoni, basil, mozzarella, tomato sauce, sausage etc.) and then we would hand it out our kitchen window and my Dad or any of the other men would grab it and take it to the oven. They were SO good!!!

Emma, Drew and me.

My Mom made two huge salads, one fruit, one green and barely anyone touched them because we were so full from pizza!

Sandy was the dough master. :)

Dad, Ron, Shane and Steve on the pizza deck.

Tilly wore her princess dress down to the beach and then decided there was too much sand and walked back. :)

My best friend Emma Burke and me.

We could hardly even eat the ice cream cake for dessert!

Christmas Tree Hunting

About 3 weeks ago, we went out to find a Christmas tree up Eagle Creek in Jardine. We drove all the way up to the gate, which is as far as you can go in the winter. There were already a few cars up there and we learned later that some of them were hunters and others were getting a tree too! Bennett was at a friends house, so it was just Dad, Preston, Fiona and I who hiked and Mom stayed in the car with a sleeping Tilly. It was almost like we were in a movie...the snow was falling beautifully and it was just us and a lot of trees. We had 4 different opinions on what type we should get and as Preston put it "there's too many rules." According to our $5 Forest Service permit, "the tree had to be 100 feet away from the road, at least 8 ft and no more than 12 feet."  After an hour of hiking and no tree, we headed back to the car and stopped for hot chocolate before heading out again. It was starting to get dark out, so we tried to hurry. We found the perfect one uphill about 100 yards away from the car and it was 8 ft! We each took a turn cutting it down after the other person got tired. Preston tied it up with rope and dragged it back down to the car. We tied it up to the the roof and drove off in the foot of snow that had piled up while we were hiking. Mom had already made soup in the crock pot, which was nice to come back to...we were tired!

It doesn't look like much in this picture, but it's prettier with lights on it. :)

Off to the car...

Mom was still pregnant when we got it!

Dad and I by the tree. :)

We saw this ram on the way back down.
