Our St. Augustine Trip!

A couple weeks ago, we went down to St. Augustine (the oldest city in America) to go to an outdoors farmer's market with Auntie Em and Uncle Mark. They used to live in St. Augustine, so they know all of the roads and good places to visit. We also went on a walk around downtown and halfway over the Bridge Of Lions, which is a bridge that crosses over the Matanzas River. It was a beautiful day for a walk over the water (although I think the little kids were more excited when they got to feed the seagulls leftover kettle corn from the farmers market). :) After we walked across the bridge, we walked over to the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument or as we call it, "the Fort". We've been there lots of times before and its one of the boys favorite places to go to in Florida. It was built by the Spanish in 1672-95 so it is very old. Bennett and Preston love it because they can run around and hide. :)

The farmer's market in St. Augustine.

Walking down St. George street...there are lots of old stores and tourist shops and the Oldest Wooden Schoolhouse is located on St. George Street!

The Mill Top Tavern.

Preston played on these cannon balls in St. Augustine.

Lincoln!

We also walked by the Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine. It was a really pretty Church!

Olivia and I playing on a cannon. :)

We walked by the Juan Ponce de Leon statue (he's pointing to the moon!).

We walked halfway across the Bridge of Lions.

I took too many pictures of sailboats...:)

We had leftover kettle corn from the farmer's market, so we fed the seagulls. One of the seagulls landed right in front of the camera! :)

Downtown St. Augustine.

They lifted the drawbridge right after we got off the bridge!

Two pirate ships came through!

Walking to the fort.

Preston and Fiona, sitting on the ledge.

We saw a shrimp boat coming in from fishing. I wonder if they got anything...

This is the "Fort" (Castillo de San Marcos).

The Nadeau family picture at the fort!

We didn't go inside this time, but we have before and it is really cool!

My Mom and Auntie Em wanted to take "tween" portraits of me. :)
