Chico Hot Springs

On September 6th, we packed up the Suburban and Aunt Mauray's green van (Dad's truck broke down) with kids, adults and Napoleon Dynamite (Dad). The plan was to swim at Chico Hot Springs for an hour, get out and eat at the Chico Grille and then go to Shakespeare in the Parks on the lawn afterwards. But, we swam, then ate and by the time we got to the play, they had moved it inside and there was no room for us to sit and the kids were not the least bit interested! We had fun swimming though...:)

I didn't get any pictures of swimming (!) but on the way back, I got a lot!

On the way there...

...we weren't even out of our driveway!!

The only two kids awake...

The "6 and under crowd" in the tipi at Chico

One of the Chico employees took this picture, so it's not that good....but at least we're all looking!

Mom and Aunt Jill swimming in flowers. :)

A sunflower....

A dead sunflower....

On our way back, we stopped in a turnout so we could get some pictures of the beautiful sunset and these horses that walked right up to us.

My favorite:

Dad was "Uncle Rico" from the movie Napoleon Dynamite. HAHA!

A very pretty sunset on the ride back home...

...and then a huge storm cloud on the other side!! Here are all the boys in the green van, rockin' out to Journey!

They turned on the running lights in the van too! :)

More sunset...

Uncle Rico and Pedro. :)

Vote for Pedro!!

I tend to take way more pictures than I should when there are sunsets or flowers....:)

The first frost off of the river...September!

Miller enjoyed the cool morning.

Anyone wanna climb Mount Breakfast? :)
