Seattle Part 2

On February 17th, after going to church at Mars Hill, we stopped to eat lunch at Dick's. They have the best cheeseburgers! They don't have any tables, you just sit outside or on the tailgate of your car. Then we went for a walk and roller blade around Green Lake

Green Lake!

259 acres of water!

People had been placing flowers on a tree stump for a while and Fiona posed by them.

Birds on the water.

Shopping at IKEA.

IKEA Swedish meatballs are the best!!!

Trying out furniture.

Walking around Alki Beach in West Seattle.

The ocean!

Seagull!

Aunt Maryann's house in Alki...it used to be my Great-Grandma Mary Lou's house, who built our house in Montana.

My Aunt Julie and Uncle Mike got married under this madrona tree.

Posing with Aunt Maryann on her lawn in Alki.

 Pretty sunset...

Dad replaced Grandma's sink in her upstairs bathroom.

We went to Top Pot donuts in Mill Creek. The best!

My apple fritter.

On February 23rd, we went to a STEM math and science fair in Edmonds. It was really fun! In this picture, kids are eating marshmallows that have been frozen in liquid nitrogen.

Trying out a Rube Goldberg machine.

The egg dropping contest. Kids have 30 minutes to build a box/cage out of straws, paper, glue, etc. After their 30 minutes was up, we all walked to a 3 story building and dropped them on a blue tarp. Then someone at the bottom would open up the box of straws and see if the egg was broken or not. If it wasn't, those kids would get a prize at the end.

Visiting some our good friends, the Sheldrups in Bellingham one Sunday afternoon.

 The Sheldrup fam.

I did Genna's hair. :)

Picture time!

Their awesome renter/babysitter Paige!

On the 26th, we all hopped on the bus and took a day trip to Seattle. Grandma had been saving up random quarters from around her house/purse and we used those for our bus fare. People had to scooch over to make room for us and yes, we took up half the bus, but we had a really fun day in downtown Seattle!

Pike Place Market is a must-see if you are near Seattle.

Grandma bought us some freshly made cheese from the market.

The original Starbucks!

Pike Place.

Truffles...these ones were on the cheap side for $3.75 per gram.

Fruit!

We caught a double decker bus back to Lynnwood! Great way to end a great day. :)

On the 27th, we took a ferry ride from Edmonds to Kingston. Edmonds is where I was born!

On the 28th, we took a trip to Anacortes to visit some old friends, plus to see our old town and house. We lived in the house on 35th street for 8 years!
