Our Mother's Day Hike in Yellowstone
For Mother's Day this year, we went on a hike in Yellowstone on the Black Tail Deer creek trail. We packed a picnic and after Church we drove to Lava Creek, which is about 6 miles from Gardiner. We ate our lunch at one of the five tables they have at the picnic area. It is very pretty because there is the Lava Creek, of course, and lots of trees for shade. It was 87°! We made it about a mile since Tilly was walking, but it was still fun. We saw obsidian and old tipi rings. Then we came back for a barbecue at Dan and Becky's. Fun day!
