Our Snow Shoeing Adventure

Today, Grandma and I went snow-shoeing out in the field for the first time. That was fun! Grandma was good too.................

Grandma's worst enemy: cats............

When we came back, I jumped on our trampoline (my Dad went to Emigrant one day to get the trampoline he saw on Craigslist a couple months ago and it was $30 dollars. My Dad only had $24 dollars in his wallet, so he just gave it to him for $24!!!!)

Fiona was making some fire starters with sawdust and parrafin on the porch.

The Loop Walk

Yesterday, we went on our "loop" walk across the highway. My Dad wanted us to get out, because it was "hot" (40 degrees)! We usually do it in the Summer time when it really is hot.  Everyone had to strip down to there shirts because it was "sooooo hot"! ;)

Dad had the Baby Bjorn with Matilda in it, so she could come too.

We also saw Aunt Mauray and a buffalo on the walk. (Actually the buffalo was right outside our cattleguard. It was all by itself, which is unusual).

Our driveway is directly across (to the left) from the buffalo on the highway.

Wood Stacking Party

Today we had wood delivered from a couple of guys in Livingston. It has been such a cold winter we have gone through all of our wood!  We bought two cords of wood. Dad, Grandma, Bennett, Preston, Fiona and I helped stack the wood. (Matilda is not quite ready yet)! ;)

Grandma could hardly lift up the ax.......But she was excited when she "touched" the piece of wood with the ax!

Dad is an expert wood chopper!

 Fiona liked to help too!

We're done!!!!

The other day on the way to Livingston, there were "snow snakes" on the road.  It was pretty hard to see, but not as snowy as Mammoth!!!! It was still really pretty!

We also went to the Library while we were there.

We went to Bozeman too, while we were already half way there. My Mom's favorite shop is the Salvation Army, so the girls went there while the boys skidded off to Lowe's! ;)
Mom had to change a dirty diaper and nurse Matilda (not both at the same time) in the back room where all the furniture is (there were pretty comfy chairs for them to sit in!) at Salvation Army. Everybody looked at us like we were crazy!

Grandma was so into the kids books, that she hardly knew what was happening!

We also watched a movie that night and we looked over at Grandma and she was snoring her head off! We were trying our hardest not to burst out laughing! I had tears in my eyes,  it was so funny!

The Big Whiteout

Today, we went cross-country skiing! That was really fun! Dad, Bennett, Preston and I went around the Mammoth Terraces loop. Preston was surprisingly good, for his first cross-country ski trip! The loop was 1 and 1/2 miles, uphill and down.

On our way up to Mammoth, we had to slam on the brakes for a big Buffalo herd crossing the road. They didn't really mind us driving right through the big herd. There was a huge bull buffalo that was in the lead, with a collar the park service had put on him.

We got a family photo while everyone was happy and had their skis on.

On the way back from Mammoth, there was a huge snow whiteout. We couldn't see a foot in front of the car. We had to go about 5 miles an hour!  Here are a couple of pictures after the whiteout:

Matilda was asleep at the wheel!

Dad and Woody

This morning, my Dad went down to feed Woody and Ginger. He got Woody on the lead rope and took him out into the field, so he could lunge him around a little bit.

On Friday our Pastor, Bill, came to our house to hold and pray for Matilda.

Dan and Becky came and gave us a meal. Becky wanted to hold Tilly. Dan said he wasn't quite ready to hold her yet. ;)

Baby Roberts New Name!

We decided to name the baby, Matilda Grace Roberts.  We can also call her "Tilly" for short! We went to the mid-wife's house yesterday for Matilda's checkup. Mikelann, (the mid-wife) said that she is doing great! She has grown a lot since she was born!

Dear God, Help me sleep more in the night for Mommy and Daddy......Amen.

Cheese!

All I want to do is eat, sleep and poop. (ESP)

Sisters:

On the way back from Mikelann's house, we looked in the backseat and both Fiona and Preston were snoring!
