A Sunday in Collierville

On March 18th after Church, we drove to Collierville to have a picnic lunch at the town square. Aunt Jill and I went to go grab lunch for everybody at Lenny's Sub Shop. The subs were so good...and huge. But we were all so hungry, that we ate every last crumb! It was a beautiful day for a picnic!

The town square.

Everybody eating lunch. :)

We walked across the street and Uncle Jeff treated us to ice cream!

Sierra, Fiona, Matilda and Dakota licking their ice cream!

There was an old cabin in the square.

The knock-out roses had started to bloom in Aunt Jill and Uncle Jeff's yard. They are awesome flowers, because you don't have to do anything to them and they bloom all summer long!!

Everything had started to turn green!

Harmony loved that someone had come to visit her!

The blossoms bloomed, too!

Mom had started a new trend...a side braid. Her new nickname is "Katniss" from the Hunger Games. :) I tried it out too....

Donkey Sorting!

On March 17th, we all went to Mason, TN for Donkey Sorting. Uncle Jeff thought it would be fun to take all of us down there to watch him sort donkeys. I rode with Uncle Jeff and we pulled the horse trailer. When we got there Uncle Jeff started practicing in the arena and I sat on the bleachers. While I watched everyone get ready and warmed up, a man in the arena started to sprinkle "Great Value White Flour" through the middle to represent the line that you had to pass to get points for your team. It must have been really boring to one guy, because he had time to smoke and ride!

This man sprinkled the white flour in the middle of the arena!

Haircuts on the Lawn

On March 15th, Aunt Jill gave haircuts to anybody who wanted them. All the little kids thought it would be fun to drag lawn chairs out to the lawn and watched as each person got their haircut. It was like somebody put on a show just for them!

There was a beautiful sunset that evening.

Dakota, Fiona and Sierra (notice her facial expression!).

Sierra with another facial expression!

Dad's Shower Project

Aunt Jill and Uncle Jeff hired my Dad to remodel their shower in their master bathroom. After he tore down the old shower, the tile shopping began. Aunt Jill went to about 5 different places looking for the tile she wanted until we went to Costco one day for a grocery trip and she saw exactly what she wanted...Costco did it once again! They had about 15 boxes left of the deco tile in stock. There were 5 tiles in each box for $19.99!! We loaded the boxes into our cart at maximum speed...the people behind us were disappointed when they found out that there were no more boxes in stock. We grabbed every last box! Everybody loves Aunt Jill and Uncle Jeff's choice of tile.

Dad finished his bench!

Ta-da!

Preston made Dad a smiley face and the word "Dad" on a Lego board. :)

I made the Koontz's neighbor Mary, a cake for her birthday on March 12th. (Snickerdoodle Cake with Cinnamon and Brown Sugar frosting!)

We went to Joann Fabrics and this caught our eye! Blue one (punch)!

Uncle Jeff gave us horseback rides again! Fiona and Scoot Dog riding in the sun...

Horseback Riding w/ Friends!

On March 5th, one of Aunt Jill's friend (Khirsten) from Texas came for a visit on their way down to Florida. They were driving, so they just stopped by for a day. Khirsten's kids, Sutton (9) and Finleigh (4) are just around everybody's age, so they had so much fun playing together outside! Uncle Jeff gave them horseback rides around the arena and they were so excited. We met them at Shelby Farms the next day (they stayed at another friends house in Memphis for a few days) and got to see them again.

Eating lunch outside by the playset.

Fiona rode Scoot too.

All the girls dressed up as ballerinas.....

....Preston did too. :|

After they left, I plowed the arena with the tractor...it is SO much fun!!

Fiona watched me...

...Uncle Jeff and Sierra did too! :)
