The Culbertson's visit!

On Friday, our friends, the Culbertsons from Anacortes came and spent the night in their RV. They brought their 8 kids with them, but they really have 9 kids. They dropped their oldest daughter Lacey, off in Kalamazoo, Michigan for her summer internship. We had a lot of fun!

Then we took a walk around the loop across the highway.....it was really fun with a lot of people!

The girls slept in my room and the boys got to sleep in the Culbertson's RV.

Vivian knit a really cute blanket for Tilly. That was so thoughtful of her!

They were in a hurry to get back to Anacortes, so they had to leave the next morning. :( I wish they could have stayed longer!

Their RV was huge and our cattle guard is very small. They had trouble getting over it, but they made it!

After they left, Aunt Mauray invited me to go see the house that was being torn down at the Stermitz property. It was really old and there was some really cool stuff in there......including the aluminum stairs and flooring.

She also took me up to her house to help her paint a sign post in her yard.

Yesterday, we saw a HUGE bull snake in our yard while we were eating ice cream on our porch. It went up into the rocks on the hillside by our house. Our kitty spotted the snake and tried to bat it with its paws. Then the snake started hissing at the kitty and we were worried it was going to strike our kitty.  It was really scary! P.S. - My dad took the photos......I was screaming on the porch. =)

This was the snake in strike position with its tongue out. Dad said the snake was over six feet long!

Today, we all went down to the beach, because it was 80 degrees outside! We haven't had that weather in a long time! It felt so good.

Dad fell asleep on the new hammock we set up while we were down there! It was worth the 25 cents we paid at the garage sale up in Mammoth, because he was snoring!

When we got back home, Fiona was so tired, she fell asleep on the kitchen floor!

After she woke up, she and Tilly hopped into the tub. My mom's favorite invention, is putting kids into the tub with their ice cream....no clean up!
