The NCRM and Downtown Memphis!

On February 1st, Mom, Dad, Bennett, Matilda and I went to the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis. I thought it was cool that the museum is inside the original Lorraine Motel where Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated. Dad printed off a question sheet for Bennett and I to fill out while we walked around the museum. They gave you audio headphones to listen to as you walked. The museum was AWESOME, but they didn't let you take pictures inside, only outside! :(

It was such an amazing museum and we would recommend it to other people who visit Memphis!

After we left the NCRM, we drove down to Beale Street to walk around and see if there were any good restaurants. We were hungry after spending most of our day at the museum! Beale Street was CROWDED even on a weekday and there were some very interesting people there...:)

There was a kid about Bennett's age (10) who was doing back-flips all the way down Beale Street (which is pretty long)!!

We stopped by the Peabody Hotel to see the ducks. It was really neat!

By this time, we were STARVING so we stopped at a pizza joint and ate lunch outside on the sidewalk...we got to "people watch"!
